Are you walking shoes ready? It's almost time to meet at Railyard Park, pick up your t-shirt, walk and return for music and the food trucks. It will be a fun day for the whole family!
Don't forget to complete your Fundly account so you can send emails out to those that will support you. We recently found out you can only do the final steps on a computer or tablet. Sorry for the inconvenience but once you're done, Fundly has email templates you can use to send out to your contact list.
We have one walker that has raised over $1000 on her own. (WOW! Thanks H. L.!) We're so excited about her passion to contribute to Project Shelter. Now, how close can you come to her total? THE GAME IS ON!!!

The Ellis County Homeless Coalition is hosting a WALKaTHON. You can join the fun by donating an amount per step or sponsoring a walker with a one-time donation.
We have so many good organizations in the county to help people but not one shelter. Ellis County is in need of one for our homeless friends. So many people believe that if we have a shelter in Ellis County that the homeless will start coming into our towns when actually the reason we want to build it is because we have so many here right now and no place to help them. There will always be some who want to stay where they are today but there are so many more that want a place to sleep before they go to work or school the next day. They wonder where their next meal will come from and how they will take a shower, especially the children who don’t want to be ridiculed for how they smell or look.
It’s time to show we care for our fellow man and provide for their basic needs of shelter and food. We’ll also help them find new jobs or education if needed. Join us in making this happen.
