Fund a Future

Bright School is showing that vulnerable children THRIVE with high quality education! The problem is that most vulnerable children in Rwanda go to schools with large classes, few teachers and often punishment. Our preschool has small classes with 2 teachers, plenty of learning materials and respect for our children. The kind of learning we are seeing just can’t happen in a large class with one teacher. Our cost is low, but still many children will not have the opportunity without assistance. That is what Fund a Future does. Last year 70 of 120 children received assistance from Fund a Future. One parent lost his job. He had paid faithfully for 3 years, but was now ready to pull his daughter out and put her in a school with large classes because he would not need to pay any fees. We offered him assistance and his daughter continues to amaze us as she grows & learns. He said “What are you doing to my daughter? She is a genius! She fills all of the journals that I buy her with writing!” This is a first grade student, but the result of 3 years of high quality, but not high cost, education is very rewarding to see. We can only make it happen with your assistance!

Education is from the most amazing gift a parent can offer their children . It is a basic good investment every child deserve for having knowledge and social experience to ensure own better living one day !

the question i wander myself and every great human being should questioned and answer him/herself , is that ,is it really possible that every young child can have a chance to go to school and get a good education even though she/he may come from vulnerable family , so that we can keep grow great leaders of tomorrow ?

i am only 22 years old i am Aline ,i likely being sent home because of lack of school fees during my primary and high school .i am telling you this on behalf of children who need educational support ! let's you and I play parenthood responsibility for this Rwandan children .

This great days of Christmas and new year by simply donating as you can ,you are giving them the opportunity for accessing good education instead of ending in the street because of lack of school fees.

Today Jan went to a meeting about scaling up Early Childhood Education in Rwanda. There is so much to do! Many children from middle class & poor families have classes with 50 – 100 children! At Bright School, we have 20 children per class with 2 well prepared teachers! Our children thrive! We are showing that Rwandan children are as brilliant as those anywhere in the world. The child’s drawing & story was written by a child in first grade (not by the teacher). She wrote English, but we see stories in Kinyarwanda & French as well. Visitors think they must be in 3rd grade of even 5th grade! Fund a Future helps us make sure that children from all parts of the community can benefit from this level of education!
