Egypt Bound

A few days ago I was at the edge of a cliff. I almost made the decision to withdraw from this journey to North Africa for a number of reasons that played on my mind. I was having nearsighted vision, I saw that I had barely raised even half of the funds needed to complete this journey. I also saw uncertainty with situations around me and I questioned my heart. It was a moment that I became much like Peter, beginning to sink because my eyes had been diverted from the One and instead focusing on the waves tumbling around me which brought anxiety, doubt and fear. But as I let my eyes return to God, I see His favor that is surrounding me, in the exception and acceptance granted to me to join this trip with OM. I hear favor in the encouraging words of those planted around me in such a time as this. I see favor by those who have supported me and I thank you.. I believe this opportunity was brought into my awareness to serve a purpose, not just in my life but to also allow me to serve purpose in other lives. The outcome that faith yields cannot be seen if we do not face the challenge. So I am moving forward. Instead of walking away, I am diving with faith and surrender to where God will chose to land my feet. North Africa…I am coming. One month before departure…

I think on the acts of service that I will have the opportunity to give in Egypt and I pray that every word I give, every gesture made, and every single step I take will create a beautiful sound resonating within the hearts of those receiving and direct eyes to God.

Just as everyone partnering with me and practicing the act of giving has already begun a wonderful chorus. Because of your support, many lives can be impacted in a positive way.

And I thank God. I rest in gratitude
