Bench was installed today : )

Wanted to get an update to everyone on the status of the bench and plaque. I haven't been on Facebook much since the name change event and I apologize for that. I am still working on processing and dealing with the reality that our Shelby is no longer with us.
Thursday the concrete was poured and the plaque was placed. The bench will go in today if the concrete is dry. It will be complete by Sunday if the weather cooperates. I will post an update once I confirm the rec has completed. (Pics from today attached).
Also once the rec has framed the new sign it will be posted displaying the new name of the skatepark - The "Phillip Shelby Hemstock Skatepark". I am waiting for the rec to confirm what date they expect to have it up - once I know I will post another update.
All of the T shirts that were purchased have been mailed so if you don't receive it by Wed, May 22nd please let me know.
HiGuyz shirts with Shelby's designs will be available for purchase very soon and Ill post info next week. I am only selling them because I know people want them and I need to cover the costs to have them made. I wish I could give them away like he did LOL but his intention WAS to sell them, he just always wound up giving more away then he actually sold.
I am really missing him and I know everyone else is too - thanks to everyone who helped with the cost of the plaque and bench. I appreciate the help and the support to get this done for Shelby. Unfortunately nothing can bring him back to me/us - I will do everything I can to honor him every second of every day and just try to keep pushing through until I see him again.

I have been working on protecting Higuyz for Shelby and will be printing his designs on shirts, decks and stickers soon that will be for sale. I will be putting money aside for future events to be done in Shelby's honor.
The other guys that are a part of HIguyz are on board and will be doing some new designs that will be sold as well.
Hoping to start an annual skate competition at the PSH Skatepark and also continuing Holiday Taint at Guapo if Guapo allows.

City Council approved the renaming of the skate park tonight to "Phillip Shelby Hemstock Skate Park". The ceremony for the name change and bench unveiling will be on the same day and time. Still collecting money in order to buy the plaques and signage so please donate if you can. Will confirm date soon.

Things are starting to forward again on the City of Farmers Branch end of things so I will have some updates for you on bench arrival, event date and time, etc by the end of next week. Thank you again for all your help on getting this done for Shelby.

Recent update from the Rec Center is that items are expected to be in place near the end of April - will continue to update

Shelby is so loved and so missed by so many people. I know I will love him and miss him every second of every day for the rest of my life.

Bench has been approved by the city counsel and ordered - now just waiting on a date.

Met with Maria with the FB rec today. The full back bench and plaque will be the first to be placed and dedicated. Other tributes to come to the skate park in the future, Just need to raise the 3K for now and once I have firm pricing and dates for future projects I will pass the info on

I am having to make some changes and feedback is appreciated. The FB Rec can not place the tree next to the bench like I originally wanted. They are suggesting a half bench and 2 trees placed inbetween the dog park (coming in June) and the skatepark. I am thinking I will do that AND the full bench which increases the cost. I am raising the goal to the new price but let me know if I am going over board. Thank you.
