As a country, we make a promise to our veterans and their dependents: we will care for them as they have cared for us during their period of service. The GI Bill offers the hope of higher education, but can take nearly an entire semester to fully process. In the months between starting school in the fall and benefits starting in the spring, bills and other financial commitments don’t stop. Persisting from first semester to second semester can be challenging when financial burdens overtake dreams of academic success.

The IU South Bend Veteran and Family Relief Scholarship aims to bridge these gaps by providing emergency funding to help fulfill the promises we’ve made to our veterans and their dependents. Join us in telling our veterans and their dependents that “We Got Your Six!”
