Mattie Rhodes Center is a non-profit organization that has been providing services for the Kansas City area for over 120 years. MRC is dedicated to individual and family well-being through behavioral health, youth development, community services, and the arts. The LEAP 4 K (Learning, Engaging and Preparing for Kindergarten) works with Spanish-speaking families to help parents get their preschool-aged children ready for kindergarten. One of the most important things parents can do to help their children prepare for school is to read books with them. This can be difficult if the parents don’t have books available in their own language. Your contribution will help Mattie Rhodes Center buy bilingual books that will be distributed to families that speak Spanish at home.
