Every year, my classroom does a fundraiser for Toys for
Tots. The primary goal of Marine Toys for Tots is,
through the gift of a new toy, help bring the joy of
Christmas and send a message of hope to America's
less fortunate children. I think it's very important for my
students to participate in community service activities
throughout the year.
All funds donated will be used to do a live shopping
stream, where students will be able to participate virtually
and help pick out the toys we will donate together. They
will also be using their math skills to help add up all
purchases.
Last year my class raised $783, so our goal this year is
$800.
The top 4 donators will receive a McDonald's party
with me during lunch time. Virtual students will have other
options to choose from, some which can be used virtually
during class time (free homework pass or pajama day, for
example), or a prize to pick up from the office
