Thank you all for supporting us and fundraising with us on #GivingTuesday! It was a huge success. We raised over $34,500 and watched the donations grow, adding something to our Gingerbread Hotline with each gift.
We couldn't have built it without you — and thanks to all your donations, you're helping us build call and chat capacity here at the hotline so we can a resource for those in need.
How do your donations help?
On July 20th, our advocates answered our 3 millionth call. This milestone highlights the vital role of the hotline in assisting victims, friends and family. The need for these services continues to grow.
- 1 in every 4 women and 1 in every 7 men have experienced severe physical violence by a current or former intimate partner
- 1 in 3 teens in the U.S. is a victim of physical, sexual, emotional or verbal abuse from a dating partner
- Intimate partner violence alone affects more than 12 million people each year
Every donation does twice the good
All throughout the month of December because we've been given an amazing match opportunity from our friends at the Avon Foundation for Women. Any donation made from Dec. 1st-31st will be matched, up to $200,000! It's the perfect time to give.
