For over 45 years, the Ostrom Workshop has been a global leader in studying governance issues. Our research focus began in natural resource governance, and over the years we’ve expanded our work to include data management, cybersecurity, and political, economic, and legal institutions and organizations. 

All of these programs bring together scholars from different fields to focus on important concerns that affect us all. Our scholars are working towards cyber peace, sustainable food development, public health concerns, and many more projects. By donating to the Ostrom Workshop, you are supporting our work of bringing together the world’s foremost scholars to find solutions while also supporting our young scholars in their graduate work. 

This year, one goal is to focus on two critical programs: Research Awards and Visiting Scholars.

The Workshop provides Research Awards to affiliates and graduate students in order to promote publications and improve student dissertations. This program helps graduate students produce important research and provides affiliates with the opportunity to understand and address major societal problems.

The Visiting Scholar program brings in long-term and short-term visitors from around the world. These scholars allow us to work with global leaders in governance and continue our mission of encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration. They also work with our graduate students, providing them with access to some of the world’s most influential scholars.
