Hello, my name is Henry, and I’m the proud President of ICON (Ivorian Community Network) a mission-driven organization created to uplift the Ivorian diaspora in the US, promote our businesses, and empower our youth through mentorship and career development.
Today, I come to you with a heartfelt request for support.
Our Story
ICON began as a vision to build a thriving network where Ivorian entrepreneurs, professionals, and students could connect, collaborate, and succeed together. Like many members of our diaspora, I’ve experienced the challenges of building a life far from home, the loneliness, the uphill climb to establish credibility, the desire to make our homeland proud.
But I’ve also seen the incredible potential in our community — the brilliance of our youth, the creativity of our business owners, the passion of our professionals. That’s why I founded ICON: to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity.
Since our founding, we’ve launched:
- Business Spotlights and Networking Events that give Ivorian entrepreneurs visibility and real clients
- Mentorship Programs that connect students with accomplished professionals
- Workshops and Panels focused on career readiness, entrepreneurship, and community building
But we need your help to grow.

ICON is run entirely by volunteers, and while our impact has been growing, so have our needs. Your donation will help us:

- Provide scholarships and mentorship resources for students
- Launch our new ICON App to connect Africans and Ivorians across the diaspora more effectively
