Having spent over eight years in the Marine Corps, I witnessed firsthand how extended stress, isolation, and relentless pressure can erode the mental and physical resilience of the individuals we rely on most—combat instructors, warfighters, first responders, and even astronauts. These are not careers; they are pressure vessels. But far too often, the people inside them go unstudied and underserved.
That is why I'm launching the RHAPSODY Research Foundation—a not-for-profit organization that studies how top performers manage long-term stress and operational pressure. RHAPSODY stands for Resilience & Human Adaptation in Performance Sciences, Operational Demands, and Yielded Data. Through interdisciplinary research, we will study high-stress professions' physical, psychological, and social costs and develop science-driven solutions to optimize performance, resilience, and long-term health.
We're not dreaming big here—we're creating an action-based, evidence-based institution for real people with real influence. We just need your help to establish it.
We're investing $8,000 to establish RHAPSODY and kick off legally. This includes Wyoming incorporation ($53), registered agent ($50), IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt application ($600), and legal advice for $1,500 to have the right structure and compliance. We've set aside funds for branding ($700), professional resources ($500), website creation ($1,200), and domain hosting ($150). Another $500 will cover platform charges, $1,000 will be invested in our launch campaign and outreach, and $747 will cover important administrative tools and services.
With your support, we’ll build a foundation that empowers RHAPSODY to conduct cutting-edge research, influence future policy, and ultimately serve the people society asks the most of—by giving them the science and support they’ve long deserved.
