I’m 71 years old and I lost my job. At my age no one is interested in hiring me. I have skills and am employable.
How did I get here? After two heart failures, I’m struggling with health issues. A few years back, my daughter my daughter had a terrible accident. She stopped breathing. Had it not been for a Good Samaritan, she would’ve died. She was in a coma for several weeks when she finally came to, she could not talk. She needed therapy and rehabilitation. I was let with horrific medical bills.
The during COVID, I lost the best job I ever had. I could not get back into my profession. Since then I had to take jobs that did not work out.
Now, I got laid off. I’ve been out of work for months. I do receive social security benefits but it’s not enough to pay rent.
The last even in my life just happened. My mom just passed away. She was very old. Due to her Illness, our medical bills are sky high. After a long period of illness, she passed away. So now, I have these horrific bills and I’m overwhelmed.
Can someone please help me?
