Standing Strong: Against Child Trafficking

we couldn't be more proud and excited to announce a program that has been in the works for some time now. With boots on the ground, our veterans in Africa will be there until 2025. Our partner organization Holding Hands Africa is an incredible organization and one we are honored to work with. 

These children have faced unimaginable horror- rape, abuse, trafficking and even death.  Driven by this tragedy, Our Tier 1 and Tier 2 veterans are safeguarding 250+ lives in Africa, conducting operations, intelligence work, and training local authorities to dismantle child trafficking networks on the ground.

When our veterans heard the stories coming out of Africa, they felt an undeniable call to act. And as a non profit committed to empowering veterans and supporting them rediscover their purpose we were ready to fight beside them. This mission isn't just about protecting children for us at Reforge it's about allowing our veterans to have another chance at service after the uniform comes off. Fighting a fight they truly believe in. And this is one they are passionate about. 

The reality and situation in Africa is dire. And we know it is here at home as well. But we also know there are currently many organizations like our committed to helping the kids here, so we have partnered with Holding Hands Africa, a non profit over seas. In parts of Africa, children aren't even register at birth, making disappearances, and reporting abuse almost impossible. Tourism tracking thrives in this environments. With horrifying stories emerging regulating , like a female officer from Tanzania informing us that an Italian tycoon was recently arrested for luring children between the ages of 6 and 9, abusing, sodomizing and trafficking them. Only to be released. when money is power, and children and locals have none, it leaves them without a voice.  The story that stuck with out veterans the hardest a 12 year old girl trafficked so relentlessly that her young life ended during her third forced abortion. with no one protecting her, she died scared, alone, unaware what she had even done wrong. It was stories like this that had our veterans ready to act. Eyes filled with anger, passion and a new sense of purpose. A fight they chose, a fight they can stand behind. And this is a purpose Reforge is willing to support. 

With some of our funding reallocated to ensure our veterans, team and the innocent lives in Africa will have fresh water, we now urgently need over $10,000 for adequate transportation, safety and health measures to support our men and women on the ground over seas. They're not just protecting these children, they aren't just training law enforcement, or working to take down trafficking networks, they are reclaiming the passion to serve once more.
