Truth And Accountability
League (TAAL), a 501(c)3 non-profit advocacy organization,
was founded in 2020 following the invasion of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) when
there was a significant increase in anti-Armenian sentiment, Armenophobia, and
directed attacks on everything Armenian, including campaigns of hate, violence,
and disinformation to monitor and confront bias, propaganda, and defamation of
the Armenian people and culture at the media level, including social media,
academics, intelligentsia, and public policy.
We’ve made extraordinary achievements in the last
five years through various projects, campaigns, and initiatives. We know our
community’s unique cultural, psychological, and social challenges and are
committed to adapting to meet their needs.
With small and large-scale projects, direct
outreach, issue-specific campaigns, and our resources for policymakers,
academics, media, and the general public, TAAL is a comprehensive organization
managing such acts in our community.
We must address disinformation, misinformation,
bias, and propaganda directed against Armenia and Armenians. Unchallenged,
propaganda becomes the truth for some people.
Azerbaijan’s aggression toward Armenia does not
end on the ground. The authoritarian nation has spent billions on shaping a
false narrative against Armenia with the Azerbaijan Laundromat, Caviar
Diplomacy, and ‘strategic partnerships’ with media companies. In addition to
teaching the Azerbaijani people to hate Armenians, Aliyev has dispersed an
unsurmountable amount of disinformation within world governments, human rights
organizations, academia, and media.
TAAL handles such issues, sets the record
straight, and educates stakeholders so we can enter a period of truth,
transparency, and fairness.
The money we raise funds TAAL and enables us to
continue our crucial work during these critical times. It will pay for web
development and maintenance; content creation, including videos, graphic
artwork, and social media ads; social media management; event space rental,
staff, independent contractors, and freelancers; miscellaneous membership fees
related to our work; printing, advertising, and various miscellaneous expenses.
TAAL fights the information war on behalf of
Armenians.
