Hello Sponsors:
Please send me to the Bud Billiken parade, events like this help children get excited about school. Growing up on the south side of Chicago, this parade was the highlight of the year! I want to speak with students and their families about "How to Get Accepted into College and Life." I want to give back and mentor while sharing everything I learned after I left Chicago to attend college and ultimately become a first-generation college graduate, wife, mother, and best-selling author.
Your contribution of $100.00 or more will pay for your sponsorship logo on the event booth, the event booth fee of $2000.00, the advertising fee of $600.00, travel expenses up to $1400.00, and $1000.00 worth of 40 complimentary books to deserving students.
On Saturday, August 14, 2021, at 10 a.m. Chicago's youth will march alongside Mayor Lori Lightfoot, Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White, and a number of other local and national stars in the 92nd Annual Bud Billiken® Parade. The theme for this year's parade is "Back to School, Back to Life, Back to Bud Billiken." Produced by the Chicago Defender Charities, it is the largest Black parade in the world and the second-largest parade in the country. The 92nd anniversary will pay homage to tradition while embracing contemporary culture and talent.
