Mark is SO close to finishing the first seahorse in our dusty herd. It's taken him hours of laser cutting shaping and welding to put this one together and there are four more plus their seaweed environment left to construct. Then everything gets LED lights (no darkwads here!!) so it sparkles at night as much as it shines during the day before we have to load it all up and move it across the country to install in Black Rock City. There isn't a donation that we wouldn't appreciate - sponsor a bolt, a sheet of aluminum, a whole seahorse, the whole herd! We'll send you tokens of our appreciation and you'll be helping bring art to playa )'(
SeaHorsing Around will be our team's third art installation in Black Rock City, taking inspiration from the wildlife of Florida. In 2022, Mark brought "Feeding on Dreams", a vibrantly illuminated hummingbird with a 10 ft wingspan feeding off of a flower whose center is the planet earth. It represents the collective dreams of society as one people feeding other sentient life. Then in 2023, "Journey Aquatic" was chosen for an BRC Honoraria Art Grant, allowing us to bring the 30 ft tall sea turtle to life on playa with projection mapping. We're hoping for community support to help fund the creation of "SeaHorsing Around" this year.

SeaHorsing Around is a collective effort and any amount of support is genuinely appreciated. We'll even send you a sticker to remember us. Will it make it to your water bottle?? We can dream!
For when you need a seahorse, but you also need space for snacks. This little guy is perfect for desks, trees, windowsills, or pretending your salt shaker has an aquatic best friend. Small in size (~5 inches), huge in charm.
random colors and designs
Ideal for gifting or silently judging houseplants. Slightly too small to ride (about 9"), unless you’re a fairy.
Hand painted by @elena.inks random colors and patterns ~9 inches
“The Goldilocks of seahorses— the perfect balance of presence and pizzazz. Adds a whimsical, under-the-sea twist to any boring corner of your house. May inspire spontaneous humming of “Under the Sea"
“Like a foot-tall piece of ocean sass, painted in a color you didn’t know you needed.” You don’t get to choose the color, because we already nailed it. We know what your décor needs better than your Pinterest board does.
This is the sculpture equivalent of wearing sequins to brunch. Makes a bold statement: “I love sea creatures, and I’m not afraid to show it.” Also doubles as an oddly shaped towel rack in emergencies.

Things are just getting started in the workshop. Mark has been hard at work ironing out the structural details and building the first of our herd. It's always exciting to see the project start to take form. Here's a peak into the "skeleton" of our horses, sturdy enough to survive the weeks on Playa.
