Decatur Police investigators and Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta are asking the public for information related to a murder that occurred in downtown Decatur on Saturday, December 6, 2014. At approximately 10:55pm, 44-year-old Karen Pearce of Smyrna was walking from a Decatur restaurant to a parking deck behind 150 East Ponce de Leon Avenue. Witnesses reported hearing a gunshot and Ms. Pearce’s body was located on a walkway shortly after. If you have information, submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers.
