In his limited life he went through so much, but always stayed strong and remained an inspiration through it all. Rest in Power Jeremy!
Jeremy leaves behind his mother Kelli, his father Kenneth, and sisters Chyna & Chrystal, as well as a multitude of family, friends, and loved ones.
He made it through brain surgeries to treat severe Tourette’s Syndrome and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) before age 18, and then later was diagnosed with Relapsing Polychondritis Syndrome (RPS), a rare, terminal auto-immune disease that affects the cartilage in the body. Despite this he will be remembered as being the life and laughter of every room he occupied and aspiring to become a pastor of his very own congregation. He was passionate about coding, and video game development before struggles with his illnesses took up a great deal of his free time. RPS eventually caused Jeremy to lose his voice, due to needing a tracheotomy to reinforce his ability to breathe after the cartilage in his trachea was damaged. Still, there was hope and encouragement even in his whispers and sign language. The more RPS affected him, the less he was able to engage in day to day life with the world around him, but it never did quite break his spirit.
We’ve been through so much with Jeremy and were glad he does not have to suffer in this world anymore but we will miss him dearly. If you find it in your heart to contribute, funds raised will go to help our parents' ease financial needs during this time (ex: help cover remaining medical expenses, contribute to headstone, etc.). Additionally, a portion of funds raised will go to support research and treatment for other RPS patients (a donation will be made in Jeremy’s honor to the Relapsing Polychondritis Foundation. As a disabled dependent (of our father, Kenny, who served 20 years in the US Air Force), Jeremy will be buried at Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Thursday, June 25th.
