Project Care aims to provide 20-30 care packages for the homeless in various neighborhoods of Santa Ana in Orange County. Ran by a group of 6 UCI pre-health students, Project Care is an idea that has hopes to not only aid, but educate and assist theoverwhelming large population of homeless people in this area of Orange County. As students, we are involved with a campus organization called Global Medical Training that hosts health clinics in Nicaragua and various other South American countries during the spring and summer times. Going on these medical missions bring forth the reality of the conditions that people live in. On our trips, we not only host health clinics but we experience and interact with those in these rural areas. We bring what we can to donate and give to the community. With Project Care, we hope to help in very similar ways to individuals who need it, such as the homeless in Santa Ana. Your contribution will help purchase blankets, medical supplies, food, and other necessities that the homeless would be more than grateful to have.
