God has been working in Kenya since the beginning of time; and He will continue to work there long after I am gone. I am blessed to be able to travel to Kenya for three months.

As followers of Christ, each of us are called to be missional. We have been entrusted with the Truth, and we must proclaim it to others. This overarching calling will play out differently depending on our individuality and our season of life.
What I will do...
This September, I am moving to Kenya with TELEIOS, a partner of Grace Church, to work with and support local ministry partners there. I will live and work in Kenya through December 2014, when I will return to the States. At that time, a decision will be made concerning a long-term commitment for me to return to Kenya in 2015.
While I’m there, I will provide administrative support and program development for the local child sponsorship program Grace supports, plan and organize incoming missions teams, teach and mentor at a local elementary school, and aid in developing children’s ministry curriculum for a local church just outside of Nairobi. I am looking forward to learning more about the realities of cross-cultural ministry on a day-to-day basis. I’m really excited about this opportunity to join in what God is doing halfway around the world!
What you can do...
Pray.
Can I ask you to commit to praying for me over these coming months? Both during the times of preparation and the time actually spent in Kenya. Pray that God will prepare and equip me for the things he will teach me while I’m there. Pray that I become humble and teachable so that I may bear much fruit. Pray that The Lord will use me in any way that he sees fit. Pray that He will use both my strengths and my weaknesses to spread the gospel. Pray for my relationships at home and my relationships abroad.
Give.
The total operating cost for my time in Kenya is $5,000, and I am responsible for raising support and paying for a portion of that cost on my own. Will you give a one-time or recurring gift?
Go.
If you are a follower of Christ, then you have a role to play in the advancement of God’s Kingdom. Our season of life plays a part in how we are called to be obedient. For some of us, our mission field is our workplace, or our homes, our neighborhoods, our gyms, or our child’s soccer team. But none of us are exempt from His command, "Go".
Even if you don't give, I am praying that my movement motivates you to consider your own "going". That you will choose to be a light shining in the darkness wherever you are in the world. (Philippians 2:15-18)
