October 2014 marks the 10 year anniversary of Pink4Hope. Olivia Garcia and her family started Pink4Hope in honor of her grandmother, Marian Faye Johnson (Omah). Olivia wanted to find a way to help her grandmother and other women affected by breast cancer. In the fall of 2004,, shortly after Livestrong bracelets were introduced, Olivia designed pink silicone bracelets for breast cancer awareness.
Since its inception, Pink4Hope has raised over $15,000 through local support and online donations from around the country and world. All of the proceeds are donated to the Stanford Cancer Institute, where Omah received her treatment and care. In 2010, Omah passed away after battling cancer for more than ten years. She will always be missed and forever remembered because of the love, courage and strength that she shared with all of those in her life.
