Give the gift of speech to children with hearing loss!
The children in our Preschool are all deaf or hard
of hearing, and our teachers help them learn to listen and talk so they can enter mainstream schools and success as
part of the hearing and speaking world. They all have personal amplification
devices – either hearing aids or cochlear
implants – to give them access to
sound.
Summit Speech School URGENTLY needs to upgrade to state
of the art, digital transmission equipment in our classrooms so that our kids
can receive a clear speech signal
from their teacher’s voice, even when they are at a distance or when there is
background noise! This new equipment
will give our children a much needed boost in gaining the speech and language
skills they so critically need.
An anonymous donor has offered to cover 1/3 of
the cost, but we still need about $20,000 to purchase this important
equipment. Please partner with us
to make a tremendous difference for these terrific young children!
