Reunification Ride is a project of Women's Justice Institute, Nehemiah Trinity Rising & Moms United. Your donation will fund a Mother's Day trip and hopefully seed a summer visit fund too! Thank you!

The attached photo is the grandson of Erika Ray (R85858), whose mom gave permission to share. 4 year old D is looking through the window of the visiting room, surrounded by flowers planted by incarcerated survivors, housing units and the gates beyond. Thank you for making these trips possible.
Tomorrow we depart for Logan for our Mother's Day Month visit. Thanks to you we will have a full charter bus, loaded with families, bus snacks plus fresh produce, desserts and crafts for moms and kids inside. You made that possible. We cannot thank you enough.
We will continue to raise funds for summer trips, so if you are able to share the fundraiser with your networks, that is much appreciated. But please know that this Mother's Day trip is our most important of the year, and we are so grateful for your support and solidarity. Thank you!
Thank you to all who support families impacted by incarceration in any way you can. The material support is vital, and it send a message to parents inside that they and their kids are not forgotten.
Reunification Ride has been making monthly visits to moms and Logan and sometimes Decatur prisons since 2016. We are a community driven initiative that is independently funded by individual donors, whom we deeply appreciate.
Your donation funds the bus itself, as well as the treats we bring inside, including fresh produce, baked goods, art supplies and games.
Reunification Ride is a community of survivors inside, their families and the moms who return, as well as organizers and advocates from Chicago. One in twenty -five children in the US has an incarcerated parent. About 80% of the people locked up inside Logan are mothers to minor children.
Our initiative offers vital services beyond the ride itself, as well as a community of support and the explicit demand to #FreeThemAll
