Dance for All!

Madison Contemporary Dance (MCD) brings no cost for participant dance programs to underserved youth across Dane County. 

We partner with local organizations including Park Elementary School, Glacier Creek Middle School, Wildflower Preschool, Hitterz Collective,  Monona Park and Rec, Monona Library, Madison Children's Museum, Cross Plains Park and Rec, and Synergy Dance Academy to make dance accessible, joyful, and empowering. 

We raise funds through grants, our summer intensive, and concerts, but in order to support our students, we need a little help. Funds donated will go to support our children's outreach program. MCD is a nonprofit and donations are tax-deductible.

Letter from Scholarship Parent: I am especially grateful that my daughter will have the opportunity to participate in the MCD summer intensive, as it is not something I could normally afford to provide for her. I’m a single mother and a full-time student with very little income. It is not exaggerating to say that it is a struggle to make ends meet each month. Even though I know how valuable these kinds of experiences are for her, and although I would give almost anything to be able to give it to her, the cost of training is just not in the budget. That’s why Sara Rohs and her program are such a gift. The MCD Outreach Program will cover a two-week summer intensive and performance for my daughter. She will not have to watch from the sidelines and get to be the star for once! I know that there are many parents out there like myself who are working every day for a better future for their kids, who still just can’t afford classes and performance fees, and I hope that as many of them as possible will have the opportunity that we had. Madison Contemporary Dance is a professionally and passionately run, extremely well-organized, and managed program. Sara does a fantastic job with the kids, and the older dancers are wonderful role models. Thank you for any support you can give.
