Mark Reid is a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve and a green card holder. Despite his military service, he has been detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement for 15 months without bond while he fights his deportation. If he is released on bond, Mr. Reid will have the opportunity to reunite with his family, including his teenage daughter. He is a longtime resident of New Haven, Connecticut and is eager to return and give back to his community as an advocate for immigrants and their families.
Mr. Reid recently won an important court victory in Reid v. Donelan, where the judge ordered a bond hearing for Mr. Reid and certified a class of all long-term ICE detainees in Massachusetts. The judge criticized ICE for subjecting Mr. Reid and class members to prolonged detention without the opportunity to post bond. Make this victory meaningful for Mr. Reid by helping him post bond!
