Kyiv State Ballet College has produced many world-famous dancers.
Kateryna Kukhar, prima ballerina of the National Opera of Ukraine and current director of the college, and Oleksandr Stoianov, founder and artistic director of Grand Kyiv Ballet studied there. That is where their love story begun.
College is Alma Mater to many of the Grand Kyiv Ballet dancers.
Unfortunately, college building is in need of renovation in order to provide suitable living conditions for the young dancers. One of the priorities is insulation of student dormitories. The budget for this project is $57,000. Ballet teachers and famous dancers around the world teamed up and provided series of workshops raising over $30,000 to support young talent. Only $27,000 is left to raise. The goal of current campaign is $5,000.
The aim is to ensure warmth for the children and decent living and studying conditions.
They are young emerging artists, conditions they live in now will influence their future careers. Dancers rely on their bodies and we can help keep them healthy.
Despite the war, Kyiv State Ballet College continues to educate 210 children, who will become bright ballet stars!
They need our support to stay safe and healthy!
