Hello!! My name is Katelynn Roell and I am so thrilled to be a part of IUPUI's Regatta Court. For those that don't know me, I'm a future educator studying elementary education here at IUPUI. I'm an OTEAM peer leader, an activity director for College Mentors for Kids, a nutrition services associate at Riley Children's Hospital, and a substitute teacher for Concord Community Schools. As a member of the 2019 Regatta Court, I am the face of my community. Representing my university at one of our biggest events is such an honor; I thank you for every penny raised and for bringing me one step closer to becoming Regatta Royalty! :)
The Regatta started eleven years ago with the purpose of bringing the IUPUI campus and the Indianapolis community together to build a new tradition on the downtown canal. Since that first event featuring nearly 1,000 attendees, the event has grown into a signature event attracting 10,000+ attendees and providing $10,000 in student scholarships each year.
With your help, we want to expand this event’s impact and provide more support to IUPUI students.
Currently 80% of students are reliant on federal loans to get through college. This reliance limits their ability to thrive in college. However, for the past four years, the Stefan S. Davis IUPUI Regatta Scholarship has provided scholarships to help students reach their full potential.
This year as we paddle down the canal, lets help equip our fellow students to reach academic goals. Please, make your gift today to the Stefan S. Davis IUPUI Regatta Scholarship!
"Receiving the Davis IUPUI Regatta Scholarship has allowed me to worry less about money so that I can focus more time on my school work." - Brittany Trimnell, Junior radiography student, IU School of Medicine
"The Davis IUPUI Regatta Scholarship has not only provided me with financial benefits, but it has provided networking opportunities. I have been invited to dinners with alumni, opening doors into both work and career growth." - Anthony Tarver, Graduate Student in Public Health, Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health
