On April 8th, 2025, I lost my husband—my best friend, my hero, and a proud veteran who served with unwavering courage. He fought bravely overseas, but his toughest battles were the ones he carried home. Like so many others, he struggled silently with the invisible wounds of war—PTSD, depression, and the weight of reintegrating into a world that had moved on without him.
In the quiet moments we shared, he often spoke of a dream—a place of peace, healing, and brotherhood. A retreat tucked away in nature where veterans could come together, free of judgment, to rest, reconnect, and rediscover hope. He would often tell me how much he needed an off-grid place where he could be himself without feeling the weight of the world on his shoulders—because he felt like he didn't belong in this new world that he hadn’t been part of for the last 18 years.
He never got to build that place. But I will.
In his memory, I am launching a fundraising campaign to create the very retreat he envisioned—a sanctuary for veterans battling mental health challenges and the lonely road of reintegration. This isn’t just a project. It’s a promise. A promise to him, and to every veteran who feels forgotten once the uniform comes off.
I invite you to be part of this mission—not just to honor one man, but to uplift many. Together, we can build a space that brings light into the darkest corners, one that turns pain into purpose and memories into legacy.
So please, help me build the retreat my husband dreamed of. Let’s give our heroes a place to heal—and a place they can return to whenever life feels too heavy to carry alone.
