Update #4

As of today- May 12 I found out that my surgery is very likely becoming a multi-organ surgery with not only my OB surgeon but a urological surgeon and endometriosis excision specialist doing pelvic stripping including my bladder and bowels being surgically reconstructed after endometriosis removal. So the surgery has gone from 1.5-3 hr surgery to a likely 6-8+ hour surgery. It escalated very. fast but I am glad if everything can get done at once even if it makes surgery and recovery harder in the short term. :') aaaa scary lowk

This is huge.

After years of surviving through pain, fatigue, and constant medical struggles due to genetic and chronic health conditions, I'm finally preparing for a life changing major surgery on July 2nd to remove an organ that has caused me endless pain and complications. It won't fix everything, but it will relieve so many symptoms and give me a better, more stable life.

I also just found out a few days after starting this fundraiser that my surgery will likely be a multi-organ surgery involving 3 of my major organs with 3 surgeons on board at the same time. Surgery times have gone from 1.5-3 hrs to likely now 6-8+ hrs and recovery may be upwards of 8-9 months due to the complexities of my health.

My quality of life has been terrible for so long- nonstop symptoms, procedures, scans, appointments, palliative care, and overwhelming financial stress. I've missed out on the kind of life most people take for granted. Slowly, things have started to shift, I'm finally in a medical system that actually cares, and I've caught glimpses of hope.  For the first time in a very long time, I believe this could be the year life gets better.

I never had the chance to build credit or savings after highschool. My health crashed, I am estranged from family, I've been in survival mode since. My debt isn't from luxury items, it's from staying alive. I've had several broken teeth over the years needing surgical extraction & sedation, prescriptions, transportation, and essentials I just couldn't avoid. I'm so behind on payments, getting constant calls and notices, and my bank account is at risk of being shut down due to repeated overdrafts. If that happens I won't be able to open another account on my own for a long time.

I've looked into every option: bankruptcy, debt management, payment plans, but nothing fits my situation. I don't have enough debt for bankruptcy to be "worth it", but I also don't have the income to manage any kind of structured repayment. I'm stuck in a brutal cycle, and I am at my wits end.

I hate that I've had to continually ask for help, I hope every time is the last :') The reality is that living in crisis for years has left me without a safety net. I'm trying so hard to break that pattern, not just survive it. This surgery gives me the chance to start over, but I can't do it while buried under the weight of survival debt.

During my recovery, Ehlers-Danlos & many other comorbid conditions make things harder and complications are much more likely for me so I have to be even more cautious. My partner Hannah will have to spend time helping me and my husband will have to miss some work too. On top of that I'll still have expenses after surgery.

Funds will be:

- Paying off survival debt

- Offsetting lost income from my support system

- Covering expenses post surgery

- Finally begin adulthood from a place of healing not just survival.

Even if I could pay off 50% of this debt it would be literally life-changing.

It's my chance to rewrite the story my life has been stuck in. Your support whether by donating or sharing means more than I can say.

Thank you for being part of this with me and giving me hope for the future.

I've attached screenshots of my debt below and it's incredibly humiliating to share how much debt I have due to medical/dental/survival :')
