The Indiana State Medical Association (ISMA) is asking its valued members to join our efforts to support exceptional medical education in Indiana by donating to the ISMA scholarship endowment at the IU School of Medicine.
Nearly 75% of medical school graduates will begin their residency programs with a median student loan debt of $200,000. This makes it critically important for medical schools to offer significant scholarship support so they can attract the best and brightest students, many of whom will serve our state by becoming caring, talented and compassionate physicians.
Your gift to support the Indiana State Medical Association Scholarship endowment will make a tremendous impact in the lives of Indiana University School of Medicine students, thereby impacting the health of the thousands of Hoosiers they will care for throughout their careers.
Regardless of who receives one of the ISMA scholarships, you can be assured knowing they will benefit students with a bright and promising future in medicine. Being admitted to IU School of
Medicine is an extremely competitive process, which ensures IUSM students are committed to making the most of their education.
More than 1,400 students are enrolled in the IU School of Medicine’s fully accredited MD program, making it the largest medical school in the United States. More than half of all physicians in Indiana were trained at IU School of Medicine.
We hope you will join our efforts to support IU’s exceptional training and its exceptional students.
