Hyde Mountain Farm is a small family run horse farm. We provide lessons to low-income family's that would not be able to pay for lessons or just touch a horse at may other facility's. On the weekends we offer trail rides to the public threw the hills of central Vermont!
This past summer we started a summer camp and were able to get 5 kiddos 5 weeks of camp at no cost to them. The reason that we choose to offer this service is the farm owners have two daughters that have disabilities. We do have some clients that have disability's and love to come and ride.
Most of our horse have either been a free life lease that their owner either moved away, or has no place for them to go and still wanted to be part of their life. We did rescue one form an auction that was headed to slaughter. Yes that is horrible and really does happen. Some of them do have special needs and suppliments and Medications.
We are working on becoming a 501 C(3) to help more horses and family's in need.To do this is very costly and all that we make goes right back to the horse for feed, vet, farrier and general care.
With your help we can make this dream of sharing our love of horses with others that would not be able to otherwise.
