My name is Ashleigh Smith and I am proud music educator at a Title 1 school in the DFW Metroplex! I am proud to also be the choir director of 85 beautiful choir students that I teach twice a week after school. Every year our district provides an opportunity for the Fine Arts students to perform at Six Flags over Texas. However, due to certain budget cuts, our school is not in the rotation to go this year. But, this is a trip that my students look forward to from the time they begin choir with me in the 4th grade. I teach at a Title 1 school and many of students are unable to afford a trip like this without financial aid. I would love to raise enough money for all my students to be able to attend the trip and to provide each student with at least $20.00 to able to eat while inside of the park. Tickets for the evening are $30.00 each + needing to pay for busses & chaperones.
I hate to see any of my students in need or without. I have so many family members, friends, and fans that if we each gave $1.00, we could easily make this happen for these deserving students that have worked so hard all year!
