Wow, thank you so much for the help so far. With just a week and a 1/2 left to the end of this fund raising campaign, I am all the more hopeful we will meet the goal in time.

I've been looking around for laptops in my price range that will be powerful enough to do what I will require of it. And I think I've found the one for me. I was hoping for one that was a little lighter, but this certainly has the functionality I need and is within the price range I've set for myself.

It is the Lenovo y510p. It was designed for gaming, but the truth is, gaming and video making use the same hardware, namely graphics cards (graphics cards and video cards are the same thing - so I recently discovered).

As for a potential new camera, I'm hoping I'll be able to get a GoPro.
