Hello,
my name is Hossein Sarmadi-Fard, and I’m reaching out during the most difficult
time of my life. Over the past year, I’ve been the victim of a devastating scam
that has left me financially ruined, deeply in debt, and at risk of losing my
home.
In
2024, I borrowed $50,000 to invest with a trading company that promised strong
returns. At first, everything seemed legitimate - I made profits and believed I
was on the right path to securing my family’s future. Encouraged by these
results, I made a decision I deeply regret: I cashed out my $100,000 IRA to
reinvest, intending to return the funds within the 60 days allowed by the IRS
to avoid penalties and taxes.
But
it was all a scam. The company froze my funds and eventually disappeared,
taking everything I had worked for. Now, I not only owe taxes, penalties, and
interest on the IRA withdrawal, but I also face crushing credit card debts. I
borrowed $45,000 across three credit cards to invest in a mentorship program to
become an affiliate marketer, hoping to create a sustainable income for my
family. With my funds stolen, I can’t pay back these loans or cover the taxes
owed.
My
financial situation has spiraled out of control. I now owe more than $640,000
in outstanding debts, and I’m barely able to cover my monthly bills. I’ve
exhausted every option, and I can’t qualify for additional loans. If I don’t
receive help soon, I will lose my home, and my family will face homelessness.
This
ordeal has taken a severe toll on my physical and mental health. I haven’t been
able to sleep for months, and I constantly blame myself for trusting the wrong
people. But all I wanted was to invest wisely, just as many others do, to
provide a better future for my loved ones.
I
haven’t told my family the full extent of what happened because I feel so
ashamed and embarrassed. I want to find a way to recover before sharing this
burden with them.
Now,
I am humbly asking for your help. The funds raised will go toward:
1. Covering
overdue mortgage payments to save my home.
2. Paying
taxes, penalties, and interest owed to the IRS and the state.
3. Managing
immediate debts and living expenses while I work to rebuild.
Your
kindness and generosity could make the difference between losing everything and
finding a way to rebuild. If you’re unable to donate, even sharing my story
with others could help me reach someone who can.
Thank
you for taking the time to read my story and for any support you can offer. It
means more to me than words can express.
With
gratitude,
Hossein
