Devastated by a cancer diagnosis in 2016, and all that it brought with it, Kay felt she had no choice but to cease insurance for her house. Little did she know that it would be in the path of the recent tornado.

Kay was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016, just months after being let go from her job (a job of 30+ years). Finances have been tight to say the least. Leaning on family has not been easy for Kay. She has had to pay some bills late and let others go. Memory issues from chemo have not helped. In the midst of all of this, Kay decided to let the insurance on her house go, temporarily. And during this "temporary" timeframe, a devastating tornado came through her hometown and caused extensive damage to her childhood home. It was deemed "unlivable" until it is repaired.
Kay was born in this house. She cared for both parents when they became ill in this house. She never married, nor had kids, but she has lived in this house her entire life.
Kay has spent her lifetime caring for others and doing anything she could for those in need - be it family, friends, or strangers. Asking for help herself has not been easy. She is currently living with her niece and her family some days and her sister others. And her dog, little "Benikan" is having to stay with another niece. All she wants to do is "go home." Please help us make this possible for Kay.
Any amount is more than appreciated and will go directly toward the repair of her home. Any of you that know Kay, love Kay. And if you've yet to meet, we hope that your paths cross hers one day so that you may realize the truly great person she is. Either way, please consider a donation.
