A storm destroyed the garden that fed my diabetic dad and taught my grandkids to grow food. Help us rebuild a space of health, learning, and healing. Every bit helps us grow again.

A garden once stood at the heart of our home—nourishing our bodies, grounding our spirits, and teaching my grandchildren the quiet dignity of growing food with their own hands.
Hello, there! My name is Ann, and I’m asking for your help to restore what was lost. I had created a small but thriving indoor and patio garden using containers, aquaponics, and hydroponics, with small solar-powered fountain systems. It was more than a hobby—it was a lifeline and grief therapy. The fresh produce it provided helped care for my diabetic father and others in my home. It was a space of health, learning, and love. I enjoy working with my hands and creating beauty... something useful.
When a devastating storm collapsed the roof of our home and destroyed everything, I did not know what to do, and I have been scratching my head since. The beautiful garden I built with my heart and hands became no more as I had nowhere to move the systems I created, between finding another residence, and I lost it all. Systems were either missing from me or found in ruins.
Now, I dream of starting again—not just for our food security, but to keep teaching my grandchildren the importance of growing what we eat and knowing where our nourishment comes from.
With your kindness, I can rebuild this garden—this sanctuary of healing and heritage. Any support you can offer means the world to us.
Thank you for helping us grow again.
