The Importance of Our Herd
Our horses are undeniably at the heart of our mission. They
are different breeds, with unique personalities, and varying backgrounds. But
here, they are ALL helpers. They help our clients smile, help them reach their
goals, and help them experience the joy of riding even in the face of life’s
challenges. Whether it is a silly snort causing a chain reaction of laughter in
the arena or the look of a calming gaze, every day our therapy horses bring
happiness to countless children and adults with and without disabilities.
“Help Our Herd” is our 2016 Summer Appeal designed to help
cover the costs associated with providing high quality care to our therapy
animals. As a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, our horses need the assistance of
caring individuals in our community and beyond. In an effort to support the
horses that make our programs possible, we are launching a summer campaign to
raise important dollars that directly help the PALS Herd.
Full annual care for just one therapy horse costs nearly
$5,000!
Grains, hay, medical attention, and farrier services are just some of
the costs associated with running such a unique therapy program. We ask that you consider giving a donation in support of the darlings that brings so many smiles,
triumphs, and memories to the lives of our clients, volunteers and their
families.
