I’m excited to share that I’ve been given the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to study abroad in Italy, focusing on Venice and the Alps: Climate, Water, and Society of Northern Italy. This course will immerse me in the unique environmental challenges and cultural significance of Venice and the Alps. I will explore the complex relationship between water management, climate, and society, especially in a region where these elements have shaped history for centuries.
The course includes field trips to observe human-modified water systems in Venice and the Adige and Po River Basins, as well as expert lectures and experiential tours. This hands-on learning will deepen my understanding of how engineering choices and climate change impact water resources, a topic that is both relevant and urgent in today’s world.
However, I need your help to make this dream a reality. Travel courses are self-funded, and any contribution—big or small—will help me get one step closer to this amazing learning experience. Thank you for your support!
