I'm raising money to repair my late father's RV as the first part of a series of events to help me and a friend move out of Western North Carolina because of a litany of problems that are becoming harder to avoid.

Ever since the railroad in our area was no longer used and abandoned, a variety of issues started creeping up: The drug problem in our area has been steadily spreading over the years. Homelessness is more frequent. Crime rates, though they fluctuate, have been rising in the past decade. Not to mention potential other hurricanes that we might not be spared from, unlike Helene. We would very much like to get out of here before we become victims of something.
We only make enough money to get by for now, exactly where we are, but no money is able to be saved between months. That's why we finally decided to make a fundraiser to aid in driving away what right now feels inevitable. The RV has a leak in the roof and mouse damage, and we don't know if the engine runs anymore.
The money raised would be used for refurbishing the inside and potentially an engine replacement. Extra money will be used for the fridge, food, and gas.
While we also need a moving company for some of our stuff, repairing the RV comes first. It would cut costs in other areas by having said moving company carry less and removing the need for us to stay at hotels/motels.
We unfortunately don't have enough resources to offer perks, so we're just using the giving levels for ease of use.
