Help Donna Get Back on Her Feet

Donna’s story is one of incredible hardship, but also remarkable strength and resilience. A woman who has already been through so much, she’s been knocked down time and time again—but somehow, she still finds the courage to rise. Not long ago, Donna was driving for Uber, doing everything she could to make ends meet, when life dealt her an unthinkable blow. While on the job, Donna’s car was struck by a deer. A simple accident, but one that left her without transportation and in the grips of financial uncertainty. Desperate, she turned to rental cars, but the cost was staggering, and that was only the beginning.

Soon after, Donna was struck with a life-threatening illness. Alone in Raleigh, NC, she found herself hospitalized, abandoned by a system that failed to offer the support she so desperately needed. While she fought for her life, Uber repossessed her rental car—and every single one of her belongings. Because she didn’t have health insurance, the hospital discharged her, even though she was still suffering from internal bleeding and blood clots in her lungs. Left with nothing but the clothes on her back, Donna was forced to seek refuge in a Home for Women, but her time there is limited.

Imagine being in Donna’s shoes: stripped of everything you’ve worked so hard for, physically broken, and left to fight for survival all alone. But Donna is a fighter, a true warrior who has refused to give up. Despite everything, she remains determined to rebuild her life. She still believes in her dream of getting back on her feet, of restarting her VIP car service, and of regaining the independence that was so cruelly taken from her.

Her goal is simple—yet it feels so far away: to buy a used black Suburban. This vehicle is not just a car. It represents everything Donna is working toward—her livelihood, her hope, and the possibility of a new beginning. It’s the key to her independence, her chance to earn a living again, and a symbol of the strength that still burns within her.
