If you are a friend or family member of anyone in our Grade 8 class, including Mrs. Wright, and you have been watching our postings all along and following us as we have worked so hard during the course of this year to raise funds for the trip, please take a moment now to consider helping us out. We have only 5 days left to raise the remaining funds.
Unfortunately, we had to cancel a Car Wash that was scheduled on April 25th, due to the weather. This mishap put us behind the ball with fundraising. We have 2 events this weekend, but more than likely we will not quite meet the end goal. In these last 5 days--please consider coming out to the Salt Kettle Market and purchasing from our booth, or stopping by our refreshment table at the DSO Symphony on Saturday, or donating on this site, or coming into the school office to drop off a donation. Thank you for following and supporting!
Every year, I have the privilege of working with the families of my Grade 8 students on a fundraising campaign for their annual Class Trip. Our destinations vary from year to year-New York, Chicago, St. Louis-but the commitment and hard work involved in raising the large sum of money is noteworthy. My students are not from wealthy families. Our class sizes are very small, which means more to raise per student. The trip is a wonderful culmination of the family type environment at our school. I pack the itinerary full of options that give small-town Midwest students an experience that they may never have otherwise. Although we certainly have fun, I embed a definite educational aspect in every trip.
As we begin to diligently work at this year's fundraising, my students and I humbly thank you for any support you can offer: giving, sharing on social media, purchasing from one of our fundraisers, offering words of encouragement, and etc.

March 14th was a wonderful success! Everyone jumped in and worked hard all day. We were especially grateful to the Kohl's Cares Team that helped out at County Market, Tilton during our grocery bagging event. Both the Master Gardener's Vendor Blender and the Danville Symphony Orchestra refreshment table did well also. The day was a good learning experience for the students.
