Dear God send me an Angel,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Angela, and I am reaching out today in a genuine and humble request for assistance. I’m a 51-year-old single mother of three wonderful children—my 16-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son who live with me, and an older child who is on their own. Life recently took me from my hometown of Wayne, Michigan, to Cary, North Carolina, in pursuit of what I hoped would be a lasting and committed relationship. I planned and saved for a year-long move, preparing to transition into a life where I believed my partner and I, along with my children, would begin a new chapter together.

Unfortunately, things didn’t unfold as I had envisioned. As we reached the end of that year, my partner expressed that he wasn’t ready for us to fully integrate our lives and suggested we needed more time apart to continue developing our relationship. While I understand his perspective, I had not financially prepared to continue supporting myself and my children on my own past that initial year. My boyfriend had been helping me financially, but in August, he lost his job and is currently unemployed, making it impossible for him to assist at this time. Despite my best efforts, I now find myself struggling to keep up with bills, and the weight of these responsibilities has grown heavier with each passing month.

I have always been someone who is used to taking care of others. For the past 17 years, I have worked consistently, building a stable life for my children and supporting my loved ones. I am my father’s only child, and he is currently in a nursing home where I oversee all of his affairs. I also care for my godmother back in Michigan, who is 84 years old, managing her finances and ensuring she has what she needs, and I support my mother as much as I can. My life has always revolved around helping and caring for others, giving my heart and energy to bless those around me. It feels unusual for me to be reaching out for help, but this time, I am in need of a helping hand.

Due to an unexpected turn in my health, I had to take a medical leave from work on September 23, 2024. I am currently on salary continuation leave, which is dependent on my health and when I am able to return to work. I can provide verification of my 17-year tenure with my employer, as well as documentation of my current medical leave. My leasing office is aware of my situation and has offered to verify my residency and payment history.

In June 2023, I signed a lease on our apartment, believing it was a step toward stability. I managed to stay on top of my rent until October of this year, but the costs have added up quickly. My October rent, now late with additional fees, is $2,700, and November’s rent of $2,500 is now due. I am hoping to secure some form of assistance to cover October, November, and, if possible, December’s rent to prevent the looming threat of eviction and give my children and me some much-needed stability.

I am a woman of faith, deeply committed to helping others and to finding purpose even in life’s setbacks. While I’m unable to work due to my medical condition, I’ve dedicated myself to creating two YouTube channels that share lessons and encouragement, offering others insights drawn from my own journey. My desire is to help others find strength, hope, and growth through every trial.

If there is any way you could assist me during this difficult time, it would be a blessing beyond words. I am simply seeking the chance to overcome this setback and find stability for myself and my children. Your kindness and support could make an incredible difference, helping me to hold on to our home and to continue building a better future for us all.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Any help you can provide would mean the world to us.

With gratitude and hope,

Angela Hunter
