Gettin' the Kitten Started On the Right Foot

More Info

UPDATE 7/14: I'm pleased to report that the cats are now playing together! Elora looks for her little sister now, checking on her every so often. I feel SO lucky. I've never had two cats before, and it's so heart-warming. I feel like the grinch when he breaks that measuring device when I watch them.Next vet appointment for the kitten is at the tail end of this month, where we'll do more vaccines and make sure everything is going well. Her little tootsies are almost healed, and what we had thought was a possible upper-respiratory infection has cleared up.

UPDATE 7/2: EMBER IS OFFICIALLY FIV and FELV NEGATIVE! WOO! Now she and Elora can be introduced and hopefully start building that sister bond.

The cat distribution center does not make appointments, so I wasn't prepared for this delightful but expensive surprise! Right now, I'm working two jobs but that just doesn't go as far as it used to. There are more costs coming as we care for her injuries (the worst is a fully torn-off claw on her hind foot, hence the "started on the right foot," haha) and do follow-up vet visits for tests and vaccines. Once initial care is covered and we're off and running, I've got it from there!

If you can find it in your heart to help me save this little fuzzbean, it'll make my day. Plus, I'll send you loads of kitten pictures.
