More Info
After my trip to Duha Complex School last year, I had the opportunity to get to know many of the young men and women on the handball team at Duha. Handball serves as not only a sense of pride for the students, but also for Duha. The Duha Complex School is located in a very rural village about an hour east of Kigali, the capital of Rwanda. It serves grades P-1 to S-4 and does not have running water or electricity.
Handball started in 2010 at Duha and was open to both boy and girls from the start. In 2012 four Duha players were recruited by nationally recognized handball teams and Duha brought home trophies from both the local and district levels.
Dispite its success, the students on The Duha Handball Team need help with team attire, shoes, handballs, nets, an assistant coach and money to improve the field they're practicing on. Let's help the Duha Handball Team reach their potential!
