Seven-year-old Ninja arrived at Sangamon County Animal Control & Adoption Center in poor physical condition, but with a beautiful and bright personality and loving disposition. She was filthy and plagued by a skin infection caused by a flea infestation, and it was immediately apparent that she lacked the use of her left, back leg. Friends of SCAC took her to Grace Veterinary Clinic, where she received the best health assessment and care possible. The exam and x-rays showed that her disability is due to an old injury that was left untreated.
Ninja has not had the use of her leg for quite some time, and unfortunately she has been living with a condition that causes her a great deal of pain. She has been receiving medicated baths and antibiotics to treat her infection, and once the infection is gone, she will be able to have surgery that will alleviate her pain.
With your help, Friends of SCAC can make sure that Ninja receives the medical care she needs and deserves; it has been a long time coming. When she is healthy, we will find a loving forever home and family for her who will make sure she isn't left to suffer again.
