Fr. Perrone's Legal Defense Fund

Father Eduard Perrone, longtime Detroit pastor with a reputation for orthodoxy and promoting the Traditional liturgy, was abruptly placed on leave July 5th following a single 40-year-old allegation of abuse arising from an alleged "repressed memory."

Father Perrone, who has never had a hint of scandal associated with him in his more than 40 years as a priest, is categorically denying the allegation. 

Within 24 hours, the story exploded in national media: The Boston Globe, New York Times, Washington Post and many more ran the story, with even a news ticker in Times Square featuring it.

In the face of multiple articles making Fr. Perrone appear to be guilty, the archdiocese is placing a gag order on him, denying him the chance to make a single statement to defend his innocence.

Father Perrone has had a long history in the archdiocese exposing the homosexual network of priests that Detroit is notorious for, including exposing a gay porn scandal at the former seminary, where the rector was allowing pornography to be shown to seminarians in a mandatory course on human sexuality. The scandal led to the Vatican closing the seminary permanently.

The Detroit archdiocese has a reputation for allowing morally corrupt priests in active ministry while punishing and removing good priests. Critics claim the way the archdiocese is handling Fr. Perrone's case is not only defamatory but involves deliberately targeting a good priest for removal.
