Hello Friends, we need some help feeding hungry ChiTown Friends this month. Thursday 11/24 a "sleep out" is occurring at the Cricket Hill at Montrose & the Lake. if you haven't heard it's called Sleep Out Chicago. Fight2Feed is planning a Chili and Hot Dog dinner for all those sleeping out 11/20 to bring awareness to Youth Homelessness. And the best part, they are allowing all our Hungry Friends on Montrose + Wilson park who we have been sharing warm meals with for the last year. November we are really leaning in with our #FeedItForward missions and we have planned 5 missions this month. As we are still waiting for our Tax Exempt letter the bulk of our support has been coming form Culinary Fight Club events. To date we have been blessed to feed over 9000 in Chicago since our first mission October 2014.
We seek support acquiring some staple items to make our meals this month. They are:
40 Lbs Ground Beef
30 Chicken
50 Turkeys (12lbs or larger)
50 Dozen Eggs
500 Packaged Pretzels or a Healthy Snack
500 Packages Cookies or Brownies
300 Tortilla Wraps
500 Hot Dogs + Buns
1000 Bottled Waters
Coffee, Teas, Juices
Paper Goods: Soup Cups with Lids
1000 Paper Bags
We have the following dates we are planning for in the Month of November:
11/20 6pm Dinner for 300 Sleep Out Attendees
11/21 6am Breakfast for Sleep Out Attendees
11/23 3pm Monthly Coppin Community Center Feeding Mission
11/26 2pm Thanksgiving Dinner American Indian Center
We just finished sharing meals at the VA Hospital on 11/11.
We have another great #CulinaryFightClub event on 11/19 at the Chop Shop & 1st Ward. You can support by purchasing tickets to this event http://bit.ly/1WargWL
You can donate to our #Fight2Feed Fundly Page.
You can donate any item on this list direct. We will be collecting them at the American Indian Center and the Coppin Community Center. Please email or DM to coordinate drop off ([email protected])
Every bit counts and we use all our resources to give back to our hungry friends i need. And if you have the time come join us and sing up to volunteer a few hours and be a part of our #FeedItForward mission.
