Greetings!

My name is Monique Hipp, and I am reaching out to you personally as a last ditch effort to save my marriage and my family from having to declare bankruptcy. My Husband is an entrepreneur and unfortunately He became to ambitious to fast. He started as a wholesaler in Real Estate and was successful! After building up this business, He ventured into flipping houses. This was a very different undertaking, and I don’t believe He took the time to study and learn this side of the house before pursuing this avenue full force. He wrote contracts for the investors that only benefitted both parties if the house flip was profitable. Due to lack of knowledge and an over abundance of trust in General and Sub Contractors, he found himself drowning. This was all before I met him or knew him. We began dating right before Covid. As you know, Covid took a toll on most industries including Real Estate. However, the epidemic not solely the responsibility of His companies downfall. After we married in 2022, I helped Him re-write His business contracts and review the entire model for flipping houses. Unfortunately, there was no upside to continuing this line of business. After a full analysis, I learned that He was in deep debt to individual investors from deals that never made any profit. He has since gone back to wholesaling which He knows, and is profitable in. To alleviate the debt He accumulated in flipping houses, He asked me to help Him start a transportation small scale business of renting out vehicles. He has family that is in this line of business so I thought He would be able to get out of debt and create a successful business in this field. Again, a bust. Now He is trying to payoff the debts of 2 failed business ventures with one line of business and has fallen very short of the mark.

Prior to me helping my husband, I had an 833 credit score and 250K in Savings. I paid every single bill I had on-time. I have worked 2 full-time jobs simultaneously to pay off my student loans in full. I saved 100K personally before I ever had children. I worked 1 full-time job and 2 part-time jobs at the same time. I received the other 150K from selling my first home which I purchased on my own. We sold after we decided to get married and have children in our family home. All of this personal dedication and hard work derived from a trauma filled childhood. I grew up very poor and in adverse conditions, both of my parents were addicted to narcotics, and 2 of my 3 brothers have been murdered. I have suffered, endured, and survived a lot. I have always been financially responsible. This current situation of being in debt due my husband trying to achieve financial freedom for His family has left me in positions I haven’t had to face. I’m the first BA graduate of my family and was always frugal due to being poor and having the responsibility of taking care of everyone else around me. I’ve used all of my savings to try to help my husband but to no avail. I have recently received my first lawsuit ever from one of my Husband’s creditors and it shook me to my core. I immediately had to go into protection mode for our 2 children, age 4 and 1. First thing to come to mind was a divorce to separate our finances and not let his debt affect our children. Even after a divorce, we will both probably have to fill for bankruptcy. To have done right my entire life in spite of all of the odds I have faced, to be in financial ruin at a time of trying to raise children is honestly overwhelming. I’ve always done whatever I needed to do move ahead and get over any adversarial roadblock. This time will be no different as I’ve already secured a 2 full time job that I will start soon. What I have yet to do in my 40 years of struggle is reach out for help.

In conclusion, I am doing just that – asking for help. It can’t hurt to ask for help and as the old adage states nothing comes to a closed mouth. I can’t look at my innocent children and my loving though clearly not business savvy husbands faces and feel like I didn’t try my hardest in every way I knew how to keep our family unit together and not be divided from finances. I am asking for assistance from any grant program, loan forgiveness, etc. help that I can find. In this age of endless scam artists looking to get over on the next person, I am sharing any information requested. I’m also willing to meet in person to speak at any seminar or business event to share my personal or marital testimony. Thank you for simply reading my truth, and I would be eternally blessed if you can help us in any way!

I am providing all of my personal information and all debts that I hold with my husband or as a result of Him. If you would like to either help by sending funds to me personally to pay off debt or the account number to a debt or creditor that is owed, I will again provide any and all information.
