Hi, my name is Kenneth Hanks, and my journey has been anything but ordinary. From a challenging upbringing to overcoming homelessness, I’ve worked tirelessly to create a brighter future for myself. Today, I’m proud to share that I’ve been accepted to Full Sail University to earn a degree in Computer Science with a focus on Cybersecurity.

Thanks to scholarships, my tuition and books are completely covered. However, there’s one critical obstacle left: internet access. Living in the rural hills of Northern California, my options are limited, and the costs are steep. To attend my online classes, stream Zoom lectures, and complete virtual labs, I need reliable, high-speed internet.

After researching my options, I’ve chosen Starlink for its speed and dependability. The equipment cost is $600, and monthly service is $120. While HughesNet offers a $400 equipment option, it doesn’t meet the requirements for my coursework. I’m raising $2,000 to cover the equipment and a full year of service. Any amount raised beyond this will go toward extending my internet access for the duration of my studies.

Your support will help me stay connected and succeed in my degree program. It will also allow me to give back to my community through internships with local nonprofits, modernizing their online presence and working on vital projects like maintaining a firewood bank for those in need.
