I am raising funds to purchase a car, a necessity that would greatly improve my daily life. I was diagnosed with Becker Muscular Dystrophy in 1984, and since then, physical activity has always been a challenge. Over the years, my health has continued to decline. In my twenties, I developed depression and anxiety. By my thirties, arthritis set in, and in my forties, diabetes became another challenge. Each condition has added a layer of difficulty to my life, but one of the hardest aspects has been the lack of reliable transportation.

Both of my parents have passed, and I live in an area without public transportation. As a wheelchair user, I can’t walk, and getting to medical appointments or running basic errands often feels impossible. My appointments are often far from home, and depending on others for rides isn’t always an option. Chronic pain and physical limitations make even simple tasks overwhelming.

Despite these challenges, I’ve always had a strong desire to work and contribute. But my health and mobility make it difficult to manage day-to-day activities. Without transportation, each day becomes an even greater struggle.

Through all of this, my faith has been my anchor. As a Christian man, I draw strength from my belief that God is with me through every difficulty. This faith keeps me going, even when I feel like everything is stacked against me.

I understand that many people are facing hardships in the current economy, and I don’t take it lightly that you may be considering helping me. Every dollar, no matter how small, will bring me one step closer to the independence I need. A car would allow me to attend medical appointments, run errands, and regain some control over my life. It would reduce my reliance on others and ease the daily burden of living with a disability.

This isn’t just about having a car—it’s about gaining dignity, freedom, and the ability to continue living with purpose and hope. Your support would make a profound difference in my life.
